The Crooked Willow

Wonderings of a Wood Wife

20 May
I consider the Rocky Mountains my playground, but live in Missoula, Montana. My life revolves around Bjorn, the love of my life; my three children and their families, and my parents. There are other family members, and friends which I consider family, which I love and cherish as well. This last statement tells you a lot about me; one:I hate to leave anyone out, two:I don't wish to offend anyone, three:I tend to nit-pic and drone on, four:nevermind you get the idea. I'm a pagan, my family, friends and co-workers are aware of this and even on occasion encourage me in my endeavors. I am a Celtic Reconstructionist and consider myself a woodwife (look through my interests that should help you, but if you still don't understand, go ahead and ask me, I'd be more than happy to explain). My idea of decorating, is to decide where to put another bookcase and how neat the wild dried teasel looks in a vase. We love the outdoors, time and a bad knee have stopped me from backpacking as I used to, but I have many memories to keep me warm. I love the water and you are more than likely to find me skinny dipping if a place presents itself. One of my joys is the SCA and Medieval Reenactment. I am a Welsh country Lady known as, Ygrainne ferch Rhun, in the Society; live in the fine Barony of Sentinels' Keep, and enjoy the fiber arts. I'm also working on a Viking persona as well as a Romani persona (exploring my Bohemian roots). I spend a great deal of time reading and researching on many subjects, thus my long interests list. We are not wealthy people but our lives are rich in color, music, art, food and relationships.

What is CR?

Celtic Reconstructionist Paganism (CR) is a polytheistic, animistic, religious and cultural movement. It is an effort to reconstruct, within a modern Celtic cultural context, the aspects of ancient Celtic religions that were lost or subsumed by Christianity.
